Designer Software is a
California based company located near the Sacramento River and surrounded
by Mt. Shasta, Mt. Lassen and the coastal mountains. We enjoy
dryer warm summer heat and cooler winters with rain and a touch
of snow, but not too much snow to keep you indoors. Spring and fall
bring wonderful colors to the area. The skies are mostly sunny and
blue with only an occasional haze. Redding, California is the second
"sunniest" place in North America—second only to
Phoenix, Arizona, which gets much hotter.
The warm weather sports include boating and water skiing on Shasta
Lake and Whiskeytown Lake; fishing in the nearby rivers, streams,
and lakes; and, of course, biking, mountain climbing and hiking.
The winter weather brings snow skiing and cross country skiing.
All in all, Redding, California is a place that you would want
to visit and then stay for a lifetime.

Designer Software was created in 1980 and established
in 1981. Engineer
Bill Bogenreif is the owner and founder of the company. After
obtaining his Master's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
(digital and computer circuits) with a minor in Computer Science,
he worked in industry at Hughes aircraft—first as a design engineer
and then as a manager of engineers and programmers. He then created
Designer Software to meet the needs of companies requiring contract
programming and design services. He has been a successful webmaster
and internet marketeer for over 15 years, automating dynamic website
content and developing e-commerce engines for companies such as Redding's
Record Searchlight Newspaper (Redding.com), an E. W. Scripps Co.,
and Northern California EMS, Inc., the 9-1-1 people!
