 Kaleel
Mittry was inducted on October 10, 1944. He was a Seabee with the United
States Navy. He was in the Construction Battalion and ran a heavy equipment
school. He taught the men how to make asphalt, run heavy equipment and
manufacture crushed aggregate.
He spent most of the war in the South Pacific and was on Okinawa when
the war ended.
He was discharged November 29, 1945.
